Wilton falls in boys hoop state quarterfinals

Second-seed Woodstock Academy ended the Wilton High boys basketball team's season with a 53-51 overtime win over the Warriors on Monday night in Woodstock.

Wilton got off a three-pointer at the buzzer, but the shot was no good.

Tenth-seed Wilton, which was playing in its first state quarterfinal game in more than 10 years, finishes the season with an impressive 16-9 record.

Wilton held a 15-10 lead at the end of the first quarter, but Woodstock took a 24-23 lead at the half. Woodstock increased its lead to 36-32 after three quarters, and the teams were tied at 46-46 at the end of regulation.
