A big second half carried the Wilton High boys lacrosse team to a 17-3 triumph over Westhill on Thursday in Stamford.

The Warriors outscored Westhill, 11-1, in the final two quarters after leading only 6-2 at halftime.

The win was the second in a row for Wilton, which improved to 3-4.

The Warriors were led by two underclassmen: sophomore Reid Melillo and freshman Matthew Brody. Melillo netted four goals and Brody, seeing his first varsity action, had three goals.

Brendan Devane chipped in with three scores, and Will Garbus and Daniel Baird added two goals each. Wilton got one apiece from Tommy Hayes, Ryder Farmakis and Henry Lee.

Conor Johnson was in goal for Wilton and recorded 12 saves.
