Wilton High senior three-sport star Casey Pearsall was one of the 10 runners-up for the Wendy's High School Heisman national award, which was announced Friday night at a ceremony in New York.

Zoe Alaniz of W.B. Ray High School in Corpus Christi, Tex., and Samuel Prakel of Versailles High School in Versailles, Ohio, were named the two (male and female) national winners.

Pearsall was among the 12 national finalists for the award, which is part of the Heisman Trophy Weekend festivities.

Pearsall was chosen as a national finalist after being named the Connecticut female winner.
