For the second time in as many weeks, the Greenwich Cardinals run-ruled the Wilton High softball team, beating the Warriors, 13-1, on Friday in Greenwich.

The Cardinals scored eight runs in the fourth inning to pull away.

Alison Kach pitched a one-hitter for Greenwich, as the Warriors continued to struggle at the plate. Lizette Roman-Johnston picked up the only hit for Wilton, which scored its run in the fifth.

Dani Miskinis was on the mound for Wilton and held the Cardinals to one run over the first three innings. Miskinis did a nice job hitting her spots and using her off-speed pitch to keep the Greenwich hitters off balance. But Greenwich got to her in the fourth, scoring eight runs. The Cardinals added two more runs in the fifth and sixth innings to end the game early due to the run rule. Greenwich had 13 hits in the game.

Katey Forsyth played a strong defensive game at second base, making several excellent plays for the Warriors.
