The Wilton High girls tennis team will play for the Class M state championship tomorrow at Yale University, after defeating Guilford 7-0 on Thursday at home in the state semifinals.

Friday’s title match will be at 3 against either RHAM or Waterford.

Wilton (17-4) got come-from-behind wins at second, third and fouth singles to complete the sweep.

At second singles, Brooke Connolly trailed in both sets, 2-5, before storming back for a 7-6, 7-5 win. At third singles, senior captain Allie Schaefer lost the second set but came on in the third set to win in a tiebreaker, 6-2, 4-6, 7-6 (10-6). At fourth singles, Sammy Augenbraun rallied from a 1-4 deficit in the second set for a 6-3, 6-4 win.
