The Wilton High girls swim team ended its season with a ninth-place finish at the State Open meet Saturday afternoon at Yale University in New Haven.

The Warriors had 188 points.

Kristen Moss and Caroline O'Brien each had two top-six finishes for Wilton. Moss was third in the 200-yard freestyle (1:53.61) and fifth in the 100 backstroke (59.19), while O'Brien placed third in the 100 butterfly (57.83) and sixth in the 200 individual medley (2:11.52).

Stephanie Moriarty, Linsay Cooney, O'Brien and Grace Hendee combined to finish fourth in the 200 medley relay with a time of 1:50.28.

Wilton was one of six FCIAC teams in the top 10 at the Open. Darien was fiirst (548 points), New Canaan second, Greenwich third, McMahon/Norwalk eighth and Staples 10th.
