Quarterback Brett Phillips ran for one touchdown and threw for another, and the Wilton defense forced four turnovers and registered a shutout, as the Warriors defeated Fairfield Warde, 14-0, on Friday night at Memorial Stadium.

The victory ended a three-game losing streak for Wilton, which is now 4-5 with one regular-season game remaining.

Phillips' three-yard touchdown run in the second quarter helped Wilton take a 7-0 halftime lead.

Phillips then hit Weston Wilbur with a 21-yard scoring pass in the third quarter to make it 14-0.

The Wilton defense did the rest, holding the Mustangs scoreless and forcing turnovers.

Warde slipped to 1-8 with the loss.
