For the second time in as many weeks, the Wilton High boys soccer team handed an unbeaten opponent its first loss of the season.

Playing on the road, Wilton defeated host New Canaan, 3-1, on Wednesday afternoon.

The Warriors improved to 8-1-1 while New Canaan slipped to 8-1-2.

The teams played to a scoreless tie for the first half.Kyle Dedrick put the Warriors on the board with a goal just three minutes into the second half. He was assisted by his brother, Sean Dedrick on the score.

The Rams scored midway through the second half to knot the score at 1-1, but Wilton answered with the go-ahead goal with just 4:24 to play when Mac McReynolds scored.

Wilton added an insurance goal with 2:14 left on the clock as David Brown scored off an assist by Robert Aravena.

Peter Como was in goal for Wilton and picked up two saves. Wilton recorded 12 shots on net in the game.
