Boys hoop: Trinity tops Wilton in FCIAC semis

The Wilton High boys basketball team bowed out of the FCIAC tournament with a 62-47 loss to second-seed Trinity Catholic on Tuesday night at Fairfield Warde.

The Warriors, who were seeded sixth, will now compete in the Class L state tournament.

Trinity (21-1) jumped out to a 9-0 lead and led 18-7 after one quarter. The Crusaders were ahead 18-7 after the first quarter and 32-17 at halftime.

Wilton (14-8) made just eight of 30 shots in the first two quarters.
