Blue-Out for first Wilton boys hoop game

The Wilton High boys basketball team is hoping to have the blues on Wednesday night.

As part of a promotion, the first 150 Wilton High students who come to the Warriors' season opener against Westhill at the Zeoli Field House will receive a free "BLUE-OUT" T-shirt.

Wilton finished with an 11-11 record last season and qualified for the state tournament for the first time since the 1999-2000 season.

The Warriors have a new head coach in Joel Geriak this season and also feature four seniors: Chris Curtis, Olondi LeGrand, Max Maudsley and Weston Wilbur.

Those four, along with junior Eric Houska and sophomore Matt Shifrin, are returning varsity players.

Tip-off Wednesday night is at 7.
