Two former prison inmates who have each spent time in solitary confinement, will lead a panel discussion on that topic Saturday, April 23, 7 to 9 p.m., at the Wilton Friends Meeting House, 317 New Canaan Road. The discussion will follow a free screening of the documentary Breaking Down the Box. The panelists were incarcerated in Connecticut and each spent time in isolation \u2014 one for six months and one in protective custody as a result of her transgender status. They will speak of the impact solitary confinement has had on them. A replica solitary confinement cell will be on display at the event and people will have an opportunity to spend time inside.
