Saurin Shah of Wilton is chairing Ability Beyond’s 7th Annual Charity Golf Tournament, set for Monday, Sept. 19, at Centennial Golf Club in Carmel, N.Y. The tournament is one of Ability Beyond’s largest fundraising events, attracting close to 150 golfers each year. The money raised will help Ability Beyond provide critical supports, including home care and job training, to more than 3,000 people with disabilities in Connecticut and the Hudson Valley.

Shah, who is an Ability Beyond board member, said Centennial Golf Club was chosen because its three nine-hole courses “will allow for more participation and a better golfing experience. Golfers will be playing a scramble format in order to encourage participation from all levels of players.”

The day will begin with registration at 11, followed by lunch. A shotgun start will take place at 12:30, and the festivities will conclude with cocktails at 5. The entry fee is $300 per golfer. There will be raffle prizes and hole-in-one competitions with the chance to win new cars, all-inclusive vacations, and a $25,000 cash prize. Sponsorship opportunities are also available.
