Wilton's Larry Shiller to perform at All-Star Faculty Concert

Wilton resident and violinist Larry Shiller will perform musical selections with 11 other musicians at The Connecticut School of Music’s All-Star Faculty Concert at the Unitarian Church in Westport, 10 Lyons Plains Road, at 1 p.m. on Saturday, May 10. All proceeds from the concert will benefit the Breast Cancer Alliance in Greenwich.

Tickets are $15 per person and may be purchased by calling 203 226-0805 or emailing megan@ctschoolofmusic.com. The concert is in memory of Greenwich public school teacher and cellist Constance E. Barrett.

Mr. Shiller, who has performed with many organizations including the Toledo Symphony, Miami Chamber Symphony, Fort Lauderdale Symphony, Greenwich Sym-phony, Riverside Symphonia, and Princeton Symphony, has a personal reason for performing Saturday.

“My cousin died, while battling breast cancer,” he said. “I’m dedicating my performance at the All-Star Faculty Concert to her.”

Mr. Shiller has studied with Aaron Rosand, David Nadien, Marcus Thompson, David Epstein and Kay Livolsi.

He performs regularly in the tri-state area with pianist Olga Gurevich. He was also the past concertmaster for the New York Symphonic Arts Ensemble and the Westminster Community Orchestra. He is the father of three budding musicians and the CEO of CustomerSeekAndKeep.com, a new lead closing service for websites.
