University of Chicago graduate student Taylor Feehley will be recognized at the 2015 AAI Meeting and presented with the Lefrancois-BioLegend Memorial Award. Established to honor the memory of AAI member Leo Lefrançois, Ph.D., this award is intended to advance the career of a trainee (student or postdoctoral fellow) who attends the AAI annual meeting and presents an outstanding abstract specifically in the area of mucosal immunology.
Feehley, a 2007 Wilton High School graduate, is also one of 650 young scientists chosen to attend the 65th Lindau Nobel Laureate meeting in Lindau, Germany.
A comprehensive program awaits the participants at Lindau. From lectures by the Nobel laureates to small-group discussions, the conference is designed to bring together the scientific elite of today and those of tomorrow, offering positive encouragement and inspiration. The Lindau Meetings contribute to the establishment of international networks of scientific excellence, irrespective of political, religious or other barriers. These networks extend into the future and are sustained by an expanding alumni network.
