Wilton Singers go to the movies

The Wilton Singers presents Noteflix on Friday, May 1 and Saturday, May 2, at the WEPCO Complex, 48 New Canaan Road, Wilton, Conn. The program’s musical focus echoes the evening’s theme of music written specifically for the movies first and foremost, featuring diverse audience favorites including a medley of the Best of Bond theme songs, Kokomo by the Beach Boys, Over the Rainbow, Pure Imagination from Willy Wonka, and a Disney favorite, Under the Sea.
The Wilton Singers perform under the direction of Daniel Shaw,  who is founder and artistic director of the Composer’s Choir, the American Radio Choir and artistic director of the New Haven Oratorio Choir.
“We love all the positive feedback we get from our audience and the way they continue to pack the house year after year,” said Alison Conroy, president of the choral group. “The Wilton Singers concerts have been sold-out events for several years, so please buy your tickets early.”
Tickets for Noteflix may be purchased online only at wiltonsingers.org. Doors open at 7  and the concert begins at 8. Audience members are encouraged to bring their own dinner and beverages to enjoy before the show. Concert proceeds support scholarships for Wilton High School students.
