Wilton Playshop presents A Charlie Brown Christmas

In the spirit of the holidays, the Wilton Playshop at 15 Lovers Lane will present Charles Schulz’s A Charlie Brown Christmas, Friday Dec. 9, through Sunday, Dec. 11.

The show is based on the popular holiday television special by Bill Melendez and Lee Mendelson about Charlie Brown’s struggle to direct his school’s Christmas pageant.

After complaining about the overwhelming materialism he sees during the Christmas season, Charlie decides to direct the pageant at the suggestion of his classmate Lucy.

The endeavor, however, proves to be a frustrating one, and when his attempt to restore the proper holiday spirit with a forlorn little Christmas tree fails, Linus helps him learn the true meaning of Christmas.

John Atkin will direct the show, Ben McCormack will direct the music, and Conservatory of Dance owner Chris Titus is in charge of the choreography.

Performances for the family-friendly show are:

  • Friday, Dec. 9, at 7:30.

  • Saturday and Sunday, Dec. 10 and 11, at 2 and 4.

There will also be meet-and-greets with the characters after the shows.

Admission is $20 per person and $10 for children 10 years or younger.
