Trick-or-treaters for UNICEF

On Oct. 6, First Selectman Bill Brennan read his yearly proclamation that Oct. 24 and Oct. 31 will be United Nations Day and, respectively, in the town of Wilton. Brennan, in front of town hall, is joined by students from Cider Mill and Miller-Driscoll schools. From left, Zachary Coleman, Trevien Goldman, Mia DeCore, Avery DeCore and Benny Coleman pose in costume on either side of a Trick-or-Treat for UNICEF donation box.

Trick-or-Treat for UNICEF is a charitable campaign in which children go door-to-door on Halloween with UNICEF collection boxes, calling out “Trick-or-Treat for UNICEF!” Over the past 65 years, it has raised more than $175 million for the U.S. Fund for UNICEF.
