Students choreograph their cabaret dances

Wilton dancers, including Reia Lobo and Kara Bartek, will be featured when the Fleur de Lis Dance Company presents its fifth annual Cabaret, a lively evening of student-choreographed dances, at the West Rocks Middle School auditorium in Norwalk, on Thursday, May 7, at 7.
Dancers, ranging in age from 5 to 18, from Wilton, as well as Weston, Westport and Norwalk, will perform a variety of dances, including hip hop, jazz, tap and Broadway, and new this year, a collection of Spanish dances set to Spanish music.
“This performance is a chance for the dancers to be creative and express themselves through dances they have choreographed themselves,” said Michelle Sperry, owner of the Fleur de Lis Dance Academy and Dance Company. Ticket prices range from $40, which includes a rose that will be presented to the ticket-holder’s dancer of choice, to $30, $20 and $10 for community seating.
