After a food drive that took place June 9-11, members of the Kiwanis Club of Wilton were able to restock the shelves of the food pantry at Comstock Community Center. Members, who were posted outside the Village Market and Stop & Shop, handed out lists of items that were most needed. In addition to food, more than $2,000 in gift cards and cash were donated to the pantry. According to Lauren Hughes of Wilton Social Services, 74 families (154 people) use the food pantry. The Kiwanis Club runs four food drives a year to support the pantry. Above, shelves at the food pantry before and after the drive.
