New regent

At the May meeting of the Drum Hill chapter of the National Society Daughters of the American Revolution, outgoing regent Mary Bendix of Wilton, left, pins new regent Sara Champion of Ridgefield who will serve until 2019. Noting that Drum Hill members come primarily from Wilton, Ridgefield, Redding and Weston, Champion said, ‘Drum Hill was recognized as the fastest-growing chapter in Connecticut in 2015, of the more than 40 Connecticut chapters.’ She looks forward to expanding the chapter’s involvement in all of the towns where its members reside. Any woman who is lineally descended from an ancestor who aided the patriot cause during the American Revolution may be eligible to join and may email for information.
