New culinary arts program at Trackside
Trackside Teen Center will offer a new cooking program for middle school students beginning later this month. Each class will give students hands-on opportunities as they rotate through two stations to learn every aspect of preparing foods such as zucchini linguini and empanadas.
Angela Bastone of Cooking with Ms. Angela & Friends will lead the class, teaching students how to dice, cut, sauté, purée, simmer, marinate, mince, and batter.
The class will meet on Tuesdays from 4:30 to 6, Feb. 27 through April 3. The registration fee of $300 per student includes the cost of supplies for each class. Students may take bus 7 from Middlebrook to Trackside.
