Myra Aznar, daughter of Edgar and Virginia Aznar of Burke, Va., was married to Jason Simon, son of Steve and Karen Simon of Wilton, on June 29. The ceremony was at Blessed Sacrament Church in Charleston, S.C. The reception was held at the Wild Dunes Resort on Isle of Palms, S.C.

Serving as maids of honor were the bride’s cousin Cherlyn Medina of San Francisco, Calif., and friend Emy Shadid of Chevy Chase, Md. Bridesmaids were friends Nicole Mongeon and Lindsey Murray, both of Arlington, Va., and Tara Ryan of Charlotte, N.C.

Brent Simon of Richmond, Va., and Kevin Simon of Charlotte, N.C., brothers of the groom, were the best men. Groomsmen were friends Brendan Minogue of New York, N.Y., Will Cromwell of Baltimore, Md., and brother of the bride Brian Aznar of Brooklyn, N.Y.

The bride received her degree in fine arts from Virginia Tech University in 2005. She is a senior graphic designer with Pelton and Crane and an NFL cheerleader for the Carolina Panthers.

The groom graduated from Wilton High School in 2001 and James Madison University in 2005 with a degree in kinesiology. He is the director of event presentations for the NBA Charlotte Bobcats.

The couple lives in Charlotte, N.C.
