Lung association rewards hospital for fund-raising efforts
Stamford Hospital has received an Award of Appreciation by the American Lung Association Northeast for two years of outstanding support, including its involvement in the Fight for Air Climb: Tackle Trump Parc event.
The Fight for Air Climbs are fund-raising events that involve climbing multiple steps. This year, the hospital’s team supported the climb with $5,000 for the association.
“We recognized that there was a lack of presence of the ALA in Fairfield County and we have tried to fill this gap by bringing Stamford Hospital and the ALA closer in our efforts to serve our community,” said Dr. Hossein Sadeghi of Wilton, the hospital’s director of Pediatric Pulmonology and Pediatric Pulmonary Laboratory.
