Luncheon is all about transforming lives
Person-to-Person’s (P2P) second annual Transforming Lives Luncheon will be held on Thursday, Oct. 26, from 11 to 2, at the Wee Burn Country Club in Darien.
The fund-raiser will feature keynote speaker Jeannette Walls, author of the bestselling book The Glass Castle, a memoir of resilience and redemption. Walls will share the story of her childhood — a turbulent, free-spirited adventure punctuated by poverty and neglect — and how it shaped her life.
At the event, P2P also will honor Patricia “Pat” C. Phillips with the inaugural Transforming Lives Award.
Proceeds from the fund-raiser will be used to support the various programs and services offered by Person-to-Person — from meeting the immediate need of people who come to the agency for assistance to supporting the educational aspirations of students from low-income families — to people living in Norwalk, Stamford, Darien, New Canaan, Weston, Westport and Wilton.
