Knitting was an important — albeit tedious — chore for girls and boys in from Colonial times. Today it has become a popular hobby.
Knitting for beginners, and those with some experience, will be explored Saturday, Jan. 12, from 11 to 12:30, at the Wilton Historical Society, 224 Danbury Road. Museum Educator Laurie Walker will talk about knitting, and teach the basics. Each child will start on a scarf and share a snack of applesauce.
