Strawberry season is at its peak and children are invited to use it to make butter on Saturday, June 25, 11 to 12:30, at Wilton Historical Society, 224 Danbury Road.

The program is part of Colonial Cookery and Customs for Kids in grades 4 to 8, who will turn cream into butter with a churn dash, and then stir in sweet strawberries. A snack of fresh popovers will be served with the strawberry butter.

All participants will sample their own cooking and take home recipe cards, as well as any leftovers. They will learn how a Colonial kitchen would have operated, and to that end may sing a churning song to make the task go quicker.

The cost for members is $15; $25 for non-members. Space is limited, register by emailing info@wiltonhistorical.org or calling 203-762-7257.
