Jazz-era party at historical society
Do you know your onions? Use your peepers so you don’t miss a party that’s sure to be the bee’s knees! The Wilton Historical Society is having a swell tea party with giggle water and a whangdoodle! Every hotsy-totsy flapper and highjohn will be dudded up. So don’t be a bluenose! Send in your RSVP so you’re on the trolley!*
If you haven’t figured it out by now, the Wilton Historical Society’s spring fund-raiser will be a Prohibition “tea” party on Saturday, June 4 from 7:30 to 11 at the museum complex on Danbury Road. Guests will be taken back to a time of speakeasies with passwords, flappers, gangsters, alcoholic drinks served from “tea” pots and an air of giddy celebration.
Jazz-era/flapper-style attire will add to the fun, as will signature cocktails. Guests will be served canapes prepared by chef Michael Charles of Wilton while the Pretty Good Gatsbys jazz band provides the music.
Tickets: Members: $100; Non-members: $125 per person. Purchase online at wiltonhistorical.org or by calling 203-762-7257.
