Marjorie Ingall will make her first appearance in Connecticut to discuss her new book: Mamaleh Knows Best — What Jewish Mothers Do to Raise Successful, Creative, Empathetic, Independent Children, at Temple B'nai Chaim, 82 Portland Avenue, Georgetown, on Sunday, Nov. 6, at 10:30 a.m.
Blending personal anecdotes, humor, historical texts, and scientific research, Ingall shares her secrets for raising self-sufficient, ethical, and accomplished children. She offers examples of how Jewish mothers have nurtured their children’s independence, fostered discipline, urged a healthy distrust of authority, consciously cultivated geekiness and kindness, stressed education, and maintained a sense of humor.
This event is free and the community is welcome. Copies of her book will be available for purchase.
