Music on the Hill’s annual auction fund-raiser, the September Soirée, will take place Friday, Sept. 23, 7:30 p.m., at WEPCO Parish Hall, 48 New Canaan Road.

With a tropical theme, guests will enjoy cocktails, sing songs together, and bid on auction items such as flights over New York; a fly-fishing expedition; homemade pies, sangria, jams and chocolates; handcrafted Christmas ornaments; holiday centerpieces; merchandise and certificates from local retailers and restaurants; and more.

Tickets are $30 in advance at musiconthehillCT.org; $35 at the door.

Music on the Hill is a nonprofit organization offering music workshops, an August Summer Sings! series, and opportunities to perform through four ensembles: Summer Chorus, Festival Chorus, Chamber Chorus, and the Jubilate Ringers handbell choir.  

Artistic directors are David H. Connell (D.M.A.) and Ellen Dickinson (M.M.). Music on the Hill  is dedicated to high-quality music education and performance for all ages.
