Criscuolo releases sixth album

Entrepreneur, jazz artist, and Wiltonian Matt Criscuolo plans to release his sixth studio album, Headin’ Out, on Saturday, Jan. 17. The album features Tony Purrone, and includes original compositions by both artists, as well as their take on standard jazz tracks.

“This record symbolizes a turning point for me musically, where I am heading a bit more into the avante garde and abstract direction,” Mr. Criscuolo said last week. “I’m trying to stay away from conventionality, to a more true and authentic form of expression.””

A party at Piccolo Pizza, 24 Prospect Street in Ridgefield, is planned to celebrate the release on Saturday, 8 to 10:30 p.m.

The event will include live music by Mr. Criscuolo and Mr. Purrone, plus Terry Silverligh and Preston Murphy.
