Class of '74 plans 40th reunion

The Wilton High School class of 1974 will get together over the weekend of Sept. 26-27.  The last time the class had a reunion was for its 30th in 2004.

This year Friday night will be a catered lobster/clambake catered by Captain John’s beginning at 5. The cost is $35 per person and the location and directions given with an RSVP.

Saturday evening will begin with cocktails at the Cactus Rose Cantina on River Road beginning at 5.   Dinner will be at different restaurants around Wilton Center beginning at 6:30. Ordering will be off the menus. Classmates then meet up again for dessert and dancing at Trackside, which begins at 8. There will be a DJ and dancing until midnight. The cost for the dance is $20.

“Forty years ago Wilton Center looked very different and we didn’t have a teen center,” said organizer Joanne Monteleone Irons. “This dine around will give our classmates an opportunity to see the amazing changes that have taken place over the years.” Currently, 60 classmates have RSVP’d for the weekend.

The organizers ask that anyone still in touch with class members forward along information on the reunion.
