Wilton artists are invited to participate in the second annual The Arts Bloom in Weston fund-raiser at Weston’s Emmanuel Church, 285 Lyons Plain Road. Both artists and select nonprofits will benefit from the exhibition of exhibit works in varying mediums.
The Arts Bloom will be held on Saturday, May 16 from 6 to 9 p.m. and includes both a live and silent auction, as well as wine and refreshments. There will be live music performed by pianist Justine Macurdy of the Schubert Club, and the dress code is smart casual attire. Tickets are $35 per person and may be purchased at http://bit.ly/1CYQEI2.
The exhibition committee is seeking works of professional and amateur artists in painting, ceramics, mixed media, textile, collage, sculpture, glass, drawing, print making, artisan furniture and photography. Student work is also welcome. Artists will receive a minimum price requested for works sold.
A portion of the total proceeds from the event will benefit Weston’s Friends of Lachat (friendsoflachat.org) and The Schubert Club of Fairfield County (schubertclub.org).
Entry details are available at emmanuelweston.org or by calling 203-227-8565.
