Ambler Farm will open the holiday season with Thanksgiving day trebuchet fun on Thursday, Nov. 23, at noon.

Visitors are invited to the farm on Hurlbutt Street for some fresh air before sitting down to a big turkey dinner.  The "Pumpkin Warrior " will launch pumpkins down the field. No registration required.

Visitors are asked to bring unexpired, non-perishable food and other items for Wilton Social Services. Personal care items are also always welcome.

The Friends of Ambler Farm plan to support the relief effort in Puerto Rico. Those who would like to help may find more information on Facebook and amblerfarm.org.

Annual greens sale

The farm’s annual greens sale kicks off on Saturday and Sunday, Dec. 2-3, with a visit from Santa. Individuals and families may visit Saturday from 9 to 4 and Sunday from 11 to 4 to enjoy hot cocoa, cider and treats while picking out a Christmas tree or other holiday greens.

The sale will be repeated Dec. 9 and 10, although Santa will not be visiting on those days.

Those who pre-order by accepted Nov. 26, may go to the farm on Dec. 2 from 9 to  11 to select their greens before Ambler Farm opens to the public. Visit http://bit.ly/2AglfIj for pre-ordering information.

Any questions, email Debbie Corrigan at deb@amblerfarm.org. Proceeds will directly benefit Ambler Farm.

The farm is also enlisting volunteers to help with the greens sale. Visit http://bit.ly/2B63Bo7 to sign up.
