Ambler Farm: Tapping trees and sipping tea
Two of Ambler Farm’s most popular winter programs, the Tap-a-Tree Maple Syrup Program and the Valentine’s Tea, are open for registration.
Training sessions for the maple syrup program will take place Saturday, Feb. 6, at 10 a.m. and 1 p.m. — only one session is required. On that day, participants will choose a tree and hang their bucket to collect sap. Ambler Farm will send regular updates on the running of the sap so families can visit the farm to collect sap from their trees. Sap will be boiled down in the farm’s sugar shack and each family will go home with their own bottle of Ambler Farm maple syrup.
The season typically runs from early February to mid-March. If participants are traveling during that time, the farm will collect their sap.
Enrollment is limited to 110 families. This program sells out quickly. The cost is $65 per non-member family (registration opens Jan. 15), $60 per member family. To register, visit amblerfarm.org.
Email email@example.com if you register but cannot attend either orientation.
This popular event is scheduled for Sunday, Feb. 7, from 2 to 4.
Enjoy platters of delicious sandwiches and sweets, and have fun making a craft to take home. The cost is $20 per adult and $10 per child.
Registration is open to members and non-members now. Visit amblerfarm.org.
