Turkey, trimmings and treats

The Wilton Firefighters’ Luncheon at Ogden House on Thursday, Dec. 14, took the annual holiday affair to new heights. A record number of 104 lunches were served at this traditional event started in 1985, reports Lizabeth Doty, senior activities coordinator for the Wilton Senior Center.
Fifteen firefighters served the lunch prepared by Kris Herlyn and Elizabeth Chambers and members of the Woman’s Club.
On the menu was turkey, mashed potatoes, stuffing, green beans, cranberries, rolls, hors d’oeuvres and eggnog, and for dessert, homemade sweets compliments of the Middlebrook Student Council.
Singers, flutists and student council members from the middle school joined in the festivities.
