Book discussion One of the finest examples of the novella form, Tolstoy’s The Death of Ivan Ilyich, is the selection for this month’s book discussion with Ray Rauth on Tuesday, Nov. 22, at 11 a.m. This brief work, written in 1886 following Tolstoy’s crisis of faith and religious conversion, is an examination of the meaning of life and death.
