Jerry and Barbara Holdrige will \u201cescort\u201d Wiltonians to Ukraine as the Armchair Trips series gets underway Monday, March 31, at noon, in the Wilton Senior Center lounge. The Holdridges will offer\u00a0 commentary and photographic highlights of their travels in 2006, one year after that country\u2019s Orange Revolution. Their journey took them along the scenic Dnieper River from Odessa to the capital city of Kiev. There will be an opportunity to discuss the current state of political upheaval and tumultuous protests centering on the Ukrainian capital. Bring your lunch and enjoy the trip to the Ukraine! Computer classes Catherine Myers will teach Organize Your Memoir Research and Prepare it for Publication, a class\u00a0 designed to provide comprehensive information as to options for printing when preparing a memoir for print in book form.\u00a0 It will outline how to set up your copy in order to have continuity among the pages and how to develop graphics to enhance the book\u2019s material.\u00a0 Learn practical points which will save you money when you take the manuscript to a professional printer or local UPS Store.\u00a0 This is not a research course; it is a workshop to help you organize before you get started. It will take place April 7 and 8, from 9:30 to 11:30, in the Comstock Computer Learning Center in the senior center, 180 School Road. The fee is $30. Senior Appreciation Day The annual Wilton High School Arts Festival will again present a recognition concert and luncheon for the senior citizens of Wilton on Thursday, April 3. Developed by members of the Wilton Fine and Performing Arts staff three years ago in collaboration with the senior center, the event is an opportunity to recognize the significant contribution Wilton seniors have made to the town. A school shuttle bus will pick up seniors at Comstock at 11. Rides will also be available though Dial-A-Ride (203-834-6235). The lunch will be served in the Zellner Gallery from 11:30 to 12:30. The special occasion will be hosted by the PTSA, students of the Culinary Arts program, and the student government at Wilton High School. Student art work from the International Arts Show will adorn the gallery.\u00a0 Following the luncheon, a recognition concert will be held in the Clune Center. Several hundred Wilton High School students and staff are also expected to attend the concert. Call the senior center\u00a0 at 203-834-6240 to reserve a place; seating for lunch is limited. Lunch and learn Come to the monthly Garden Club lunch and learn session which includes a delectable home-made lunch and a hands-on project for each participant to take home.
