Brookdale Place picnic Brookdale Place of Wilton will host a free summer picnic on Thursday, July 23, at noon, complete with entertainment. Brookdale Place is a senior living community designed for those who need help with routine activities of daily living. The community offers personalized assisted living and Alzheimer\u2019s and dementia care services. Each year, Executive Director Wendy Kauffman invites seniors from Wilton to enjoy a delicious buffet lunch and entertainment at their campus at 96 Danbury Road. \u00a0 This is a great way to celebrate summer. Insomnia seminar Join Cathy Pierce, director of Social Services, and Lauren Hughes, coordinator of Senior Services, for a four-week educational seminar on insomnia, including learning techniques to help improve your sleep. \u00a0 The first meeting will take place on Tuesday, July 14, from 10 \u00a0 to 11:30 a.m. in the Senior center lounge. The group will meet at the same time on the next three Tuesdays, July 21, July 28, and Aug. 4 and will be limited to eight participants. Call 203-834-6238 to enroll. Tai chi contains a series of gentle and graceful movements performed with respiration coordination and deep concentration.
