Conquering clutter

Kathy Engstrom, owner of A Fresh Eye, LLC, is a former professional organizer. She currently specializes in home decorating, staging houses for resale, and move management. Ms. Engstrom will offer “Conquer the Clutter!” on Friday, Feb. 27, in the Senior Center Lounge from 10:30 to 12:30.
Are you frustrated by losing things because they are buried in the clutter? Are piles taking over your space? Are your closets getting scary? Do you want to get things organized, but just don’t know where to begin? Kathy will help you start bringing order to your chaos. In this class she will teach you how to attack your clutter, decide what is important and what can be discarded, and create systems to help things function more smoothly and maintain order going forward. Fee: $5;
Registration: 203-834-6240.

Play reading

Andrea Ragusa will moderate a reading of The Lady from the Sea by Henrik Ibsen on Monday, March 2, at 12:30 at the senior center. Marriage and freedom is the subject of Mr. Ibsen’s symbolic play which takes place in a small Norwegian village.
Copies of the play are available in the senior center café. To register, call 203-834-6240.

What is Palliative Care?

Palliative care is the treatment and relief of mental and physical pain without curing the causes, especially in patients suffering from a terminal illness. Why should we embrace this option? Come and find out.
Christine Pfeffer, director of hospice for the Visiting Nurse & Hospice of Fairfield County, will discuss the options available when considering palliative care. Her presentation will take place in the senior center lounge at noon on Tuesday, March 10. A light lunch will be served. Reservations: 203-834-6240.
