Senior Center News: Aug. 14

Laurel Ridge Healthcare of Ridgefield will host a free ice cream party on Tuesday, Aug. 26, at the Wilton Senior Center at noon. A light lunch will be provided and a make-your-own sundae party will follow.  Reservations required: 203-834-6240.

Interested in playing Bridge?

Duplicate Bridge is a form of contract bridge in which contestants play identical cards, with each deal being scored independently, permitting comparison of  individual scores. For all level of playing. This is not a sanctioned game. Dan DeVlieg will supervise. Wednesdays, 10 to 12:30, $5 drop-in fee.

Classes for intermediate and beginning bridge will begin late September.

For Wilton’s seniors, their families and friends, the Wilton Senior Services booklet published by the Wilton Department of Social Services is invaluable. This booklet was printed through the generosity of The Wilton Rotary Club, and it is bursting with names and numbers helpful to Wilton seniors.  During the coming weeks, this column will highlight selected services included in the booklet. Students for Seniors

In conjunction with the Wilton Senior Center, this group presents a program that will help you learn all about your electronic devices. This one-on-one assistance will focus in on your questions so you learn as much as you can about your device. Just contact Neal Sarup, president of Students for Seniors, at 203-762-7751 to schedule an appointment at the senior center. This service is free and open to adults in the community.
