Getting crafty

Come get crafty at the senior center! The senior center offers a Jewelry Workshop with Viola Galetta on the first and third Friday of each month from 10 to noon. You do not need to have prior experience to come enjoy making your own beaded jewelry. There is a $5 drop-in fee. The next dates for the workshop are Nov. 16 and Dec. 7.

The senior center also offers Studio Knitting on Tuesdays from 1 to 2:30. This activity is open to all levels of experience and basic instruction is provided. Practice materials are supplied. Even if you are not specifically a knitter, you are welcome to bring your own handiwork and enjoy the company.

Wilton Continuing Education also has art classes that meet at Comstock Community Center that teach different mediums such as watercolors, colored pencils, and oil painting and acrylics. For more information on these classes, visit
