Papercutting with Martha Link Walsh Papercutting artist Martha Link Walsh has practiced her art for more than 40 years and has studied papercutting traditions of China, Poland, Germany, and Switzerland, as well as those of individuals around the globe. As a result, her style of papercutting has a distinct personal style. Her inspiration comes from her surroundings: the seasons, nature, music, history, symbols, and her connection to people. These influences produce complex, multi-dimensional layers of meaningful representation. She will visit the senior center lounge on Monday, Oct. 23, at 11. To reserve a place, call 203-834-6240. Book discussion Barbara Jones will lead a discussion of Louisa: The Extraordinary Life of Mrs. Adams by Louisa Thomas on Tuesday, Oct. 24, at 11.
