Senior Center News
On Wednesday, Sept. 11, senior center lunches at Ogden House will resume. Local religious and civic organization teams prepare a delicious lunch every month, open to all Wilton seniors. Lunch ($3) takes place at the Ogden House, 100 River Road, at noon and is followed by entertainment or an educational program. This year, subsequent lunches will be offered on Wednesday, Oct. 9, Nov. 13, Dec. 11, Dec. 18, Jan. 8, Feb. 12, March 12, April 9, May 14, and June 11. Mark your calendars!
On Friday, Sept. 6, Move, Strengthen, and Stretch resumes at 10. Visiting Nurse & Hospice of Fairfield County brings this one-hour, light aerobic movement class to the senior center. The exercises promote heart health with light weights for strength and gentle stretching to tone your body. It’s time to get back to the post-summer routine. Come and join Instructor Julienne Camhi in this weekly class. There is a $3 drop-in fee.
Viola Galetta will lead a beaded jewelry workshop on Friday, Sept. 13. No prior experience is necessary. Select materials to match your own style. Make gifts for relatives and loved ones. Viola has a variety of materials from which to select. Fee: $5.
