From the outside, the home on 1481 Hillside Road in Fairfield looks like any other suburban Colonial home. But beyond its stone façade and sprawling lawn are features suited for any car aficionado.

Listed for $4.75 million, the Fairfield home has a barn garage with “custom hydraulic lifts” in each bay, providing “double the car storage capacity,” according to information provided by William Pitt Sotheby’s International Realty. Each car lift is able to hold 8,000 pounds, or a “large steel car.” Currently owned by an avid car collector, information provided by Sotheby’s notes that the seller “is a member of a variety of luxury car clubs,” including Porsche, Mercedes Benz and Corvette, and “recently hosted a Benz car show for members at his home.”

The current owner’s collection includes a “2017 Benz S63 AMG convertible, of which only 75 were ever made,” according to Sotheby’s, as well as a “2004 Chevrolet SSR pick-up truck in purple, the most limited color with only 1,000 or so made,” among others. Also included in the collection are original magazine ads for the cars the owner used to have or currently owns, along with other car-related memorabilia.

While there are two custom “car barns” for this collection and parking for 12 cars total, the grounds of the home are not solely dedicated to cars. The nearly 3-acre property features a heated pool and spa, the listing notes, along with a pool house that include a full bathroom, a sauna, a kitchen and a storage area. There’s also a fenced-in tennis court and an outdoor shower.

Inside the home, there are six bedrooms and eight full bathrooms spread across more than 7,900 square feet of living space. A large foyer opens into formal living room and dining room, the listing notes, both of which have fireplaces. A family room gives way to the kitchen, which is outfitted with a breakfast bar. The second floor contains the main suite, which has its own sitting room and dual walk-in closets, as well as five additional bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms. The third floor has a recreational space, while the lowest level of the home has a workout room, the listing notes.
