Women’s march bus will leave Wilton Jan. 19
The Wilton Democratic Town Committee is organizing a bus trip to New York City on Saturday, Jan. 19, to participate in the March on NYC, organized by the Women’s March Alliance. The alliance is a local grassroots team of volunteers that is not associated with the Women’s March, Inc. or Washington, D.C. The march promotes “civil rights for every human regardless of gender, race, sexual orientation, ethnicity, disability, religion or creed.”
A bus will leave the commuter lot at the corner of Danbury and Wolfpit roads at approximately 8:30 a.m. and drop passengers at 72nd Street and Columbus Avenue. Line-up begins at 10 with a rally. The march will begin at 11 at 61st Street and Central Park West, ending at Sixth Avenue and 45th Street. A map of the march route is at https://womensmarchalliance.org/2019-womens-march-on-nyc.
The bus will pick up passengers at Madison Avenue between 45th and 47th streets and return to Wilton by approximately 4 p.m.
