State Senator Toni Boucher (R-26) will address the media tomorrow, Aug. 27, at 11 a.m. in Naugatuck with an “announcement related to the 2014 elections” according to a media advisory that was issued this morning.

Ms. Boucher, who lives in Wilton, could not be reached for comment this morning.

State Rep. Gail Lavielle (R-143), who was listed as the contact person on the advisory, said there would be no comment on the nature of the announcement until tomorrow.

The News-Times reported late last week, according to an anonymous source, that Ms. Boucher would announce a run for lieutenant governor. Ms. Lavielle said neither she nor Ms. Boucher would comment on that speculation.
