Republicans will hold primary enrollment session

Wilton will hold a Republican Primary on August 12, 2014 in all three voting districts. Republican Registrar of Voters Tina Gardner will be at the Wilton Town Hall on Tuesday, July 29, 2014 between 8:30 am and 8 p.m. for the purpose of registering persons entitled to vote in this primary election.

This special enrollment session is an opportunity for registered voters to confirm their registration address, check their party affiliation, and for new residents to register to vote. Unaffiliated voters (not enrolled in any political party for the past three months) may also use this time to join the Republican Party if they wish to participate in the primary.

• New voter registration deadlines are August 7 -- by mail or online — and August 11 by 12 noon in person.

• Unaffiliated voters may enroll in the Republican Party by August 7 — by mail — or by August 11, 2014 by 12:00 noon in person.

For the August 12 Republican Primary, all three polling places will be open from 6 am to 8 p.m.

• District 1 at Wilton High School Clune Center.

• District 2 at Cider Mill School Main Gym.

• District 3 at Middlebrook School Gym.

Absentee ballots become available in the Town Clerks’ office on July 22, 2014.
