Republican Primary to be held Aug. 12

Wilton will hold a Republican Primary on Aug. 12 in all three voting districts. Republican Registrar of Voters Tina Gardner will be at Wilton Town Hall on Tuesday, July 29, between 8:30 a.m. and 8 p.m. for the purpose of registering persons entitled to vote in this primary election.

This special enrollment session is an opportunity for registered voters to confirm their registration address, check their party affiliation, and for new residents to register to vote. Unaffiliated voters (not enrolled in any political party for the past three months) may also use this time to join the Republican Party if they wish to participate in the primary.

  • New voter registration deadlines are Aug. 7 — by mail or online — and Aug. 11 by 12 noon in person.
  • Unaffiliated voters may enroll in the Republican Party by Aug. 7 — by mail — or by Aug. 11 by noon in person.

For the Aug. 12 Republican Primary, all three polling places will be open from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m.

  • District 1 at Wilton High School Clune Center.
