Last chances to register to vote

Registrars of Voters Tina Gardner (R) and Carole Young-Kleinfeld (D) report Tuesday, Oct. 27, is the deadline for mailed (postmarked) voter registration and in-person registration, which will be held from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. at town hall. This is the last regular session — before Election Day — for residents to register to vote in Wilton’s municipal election on Nov. 3.

Those who attain new voting privileges — as to citizenship, residency, or age — after the Oct. 27 deadline may apply in person, with identification and proof of residency, in the registrars’ office at town hall on Nov. 2, until 5 p.m. Members of the armed forces and recently discharged members of the armed forces may be admitted as electors at this time.

On election day, three polling places — Wilton High School Clune Center, Cider Mill School gymnasium, and  Middlebrook School gymnasium — will be open from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m. Voters may use Wilton’s Voter Information Look-Up page on the town’s website to check their polling place and party affiliation at wiltonct.org.
