Himes joins fellow Democrats at barbecue

U.S. Congressman Jim Himes (D-4th) will be one of the candidates running for office appearing at the Democratic Town Committee’s annual fall barbecue on Saturday, Sept. 6, from noon to 3, at Merwin Meadows.

This is the committee’s first major event of the fall campaign season and Democrats and unaffiliated voters are invited.

In addition to Mr. Himes, confirmed guests include Democratic State Party Chair Nancy DiNardo, candidate for the 26th Senatorial District Phil Sharlach, and candidate for the 143rd Assembly District Keith Rodgerson.

The committee has also invited Gov. Dan Malloy, Lt. Gov. Nancy Wyman, Sen. Richard Blumenthal, Sen. Chris Murphy, and Wilton’s state constitutional officers.

Online presale tickets are $35 for adults and $10 for students and children. Tickets at the door are $45 for adults. Tickets may be purchased at wiltondems.org.
